AN Hose Information Guide
We often get asked, what is the right hose for me?
We have attached hose information guide to help answer that question and to show to help you make the right decision. Primarily there are 5 different hoses we sell. Some can be grouped together based on the similar characteristics.
- 200 Series (CPE core)
- 210 Series (CPE core)
- 500 Series (Rubber core)
- 600 Series (PTFE core)
- 610 Series (PTFE core)
All 5 hoses are capable of handling fuel, oil, lubricants and suitable for coolant and vacuum applications. However some are able to handle other applications such as Nitrous/brake fluid, so the 600/610 Series PTFE hose would be the best suited if this was the application.
Another thing to consider is the application. Although 200/210/500 Series CPE/Rubber core hoses can be used on fuel, it is recommended for external application and not enclosed within a fuel tank is it can let off fumes. Again the 600/610 Series are more suited for enclosed structures. It is worth noting all hoses are Ethanol/E85 compatible.
200/210 Series braided hoses (CPE core)
This has a Stainless Steel braided outer hose with a CPE rubber core It is suitable for fuel, methanol, E85 coolant and vacuum applications For use with Swivel fittings Work from -40 °C to 150 °C |
|
This is similar the above but with a Nylon braided outer hose and still with a CPE rubber core It is suitable for fuel, methanol, E85 coolant and vacuum applications For use with Swivel fittings Work from -40 °C to 150 °C |
500 Series rubber hoses (CPE core)
This is dual rubber hose with Nylon braiding in between It is suitable for fuel, methanol, E85 coolant and vacuum applications For use with Push-on fittings Work from -40 °C to 100 °C |
600/610 Series braided hoses (PTFE core)
This has a Stainless Steel braided outer hose with a PTFE rubber core It is suitable for fuel, methanol, E85 coolant and vacuum applications as well as Nitrous and brake applications For use with PTFE fittings Work from -70 °C to 250 °C |
